Is it too late for me to compete at a national level?

I'm 13, and I just started ice skating about 2-3 months ago. I have made SOOO much progress. Right now I'm working on the waltz waltz jump. People in my cl are just barely learning crossovers. If I keep going at this rate, can i compete nationally in 2 years or so? And also, what skates do you recommend? Right now i have Riedell model 110 I think. I keep tripping over them, and I just got them sharpened about 3 weeks ago. I'm thinking about getting new ice skates. I love Riedell, so what model should I get if you recommend new skates?
