North Carolina Vacation?

So, I'm going to a soccer camp at the University of North Carolina(UNC), but I'm going up with a friend to hang out. Last summer I went to Chimney Rock, and sliding rock, which was so much fun, but this time I need to stay more on the east side of the state. Any Ideas? I want to do some sort of like white water rafting or climbing something outdoors. BUT PLEASE JUST GIVE ME ANY SUGGESTIONS YOU MIGHT HAVE!!!!!! thanks! :-)
